Church office holders for 2016 (including Sabbath School teams [Beginners to Youth], Elders, Church Board Members, Deacons/Deaconesses, Worship Co-ordination/Music Team, and the Library team) are all required to have a valid Working With Children Check prior to commencing on 1 February 2016.
Safe Places Coordinators have emailed and provided all of the relevant information in church members' pigeonholes. Application for the Working With Children Check is done by filling out and submitting the form at https://wwccheck.ccyp.nsw.gov.au/Applicants/Application. Once cleared, the person's WWCC number and date of birth are provided to Safe Places Coordinators.
Safe Places Training must be completed within six months of commencing a church role. For those who have completed the full training, refresher training must be completed every three years. A schedule of Safe Places Training for 2016 can be found here.
